Easy, Healthy Homemade Baked Fries

Fries are really easy to make and if prepared the right way they can also be healthy! Baked fries are guilt-free and guilt-free fries are the best fries!  The secret to making fries healthy is to bake them, it’s really that simple!  Not only are baked fries healthy they are also easy to make because you simply scrub, cut, toss and place them in the oven instead of standing over a hot oven or deep fryer!  Yay, more time to prepare the rest of the meal, enjoy a break or wash the dishes!  Below I have listed my recipe for my easy healthy homemade baked fries, I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do!  Bon appetit and enjoy 🙂


  • 5 potatoes
  • Olive oil
  • 1 TBSP salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  2. Scrub potatoes, peel if desired (I like to leave the skin on)
  3. Cut potatoes into 1/4 inch slices (like a french fry)
  4. Place in a bowl, drizzle with Olive Oil (enough to coat the fries but not too much)
  5. Add salt, pepper and garlic and toss
  6. Place on a cookie sheet (I use aluminum foil for easy clean-up)
  7. Cook for 50 minutes *flip after cooking for 30 minutes and place back in oven for additional 20 minutes*

For crispy fries soak the raw sliced potatoes in water for an hour or so and pat dry before placing them in the oven.  I like my fries crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside so I skip that step.
