Educational t.v. shows for toddlers

Does your child watch t.v. or movies on a regular basis?  Almost all parents are guilty of flipping on a television or popping a movie in for our tots to have enough time to finish the chores, cook dinner or even to clean up after a mini tornado that re-organized your house with an adorable smile.  We all do it!  As my tot gazed up at the television in awe absorbing as much as she could I often wondered if she was learning anything.  Was it educational?  Was it actually teaching her something or was it just for entertainment?

Recently I decided to only let my daughter watch shows that were educational.  As a result she finally started interacting in addition to using some of the information she has learned!  She loves the new shows and doesn’t fuss for the old ones.  Below I have listed some educational t.v. shows that are kid approved.  I hope your child enjoys them as much as mine does!
